Posting your Resume

Now that you’ve made your purchase you are ready to post your resume. Remember, your PPS purchase includes up to two resumes in PPS.

PPS employers will be searching for potential candidates beginning on October 22. You should have your resume(s) posted as early as possible. Employers will want to schedule interviews with you before arriving at the meeting. Posting your resume is a simple 5 step process.

Click the Post Resume Button from My PPS

  1. Job Info: Choose from the drop down of Job Titles and Job Settings for the job you are seeking, not your current position.
  2. Location: Choose multiple locations by holding down the control key and using the left click on your mouse. You may choose up to 5 locations per resume.
  3. Resume: Enter a resume, not a CV here. Once an employer has decided to pursue your candidacy and offer an interview, the employer will request a copy of your CV. We recommend including an objective or statement of purpose at the top of your resume. Resume samples can be found via a link on your My PPS page.
  4. Follow these instructions for pasting your resume:
    • You may type your resume directly into the space provided or cut and paste. When cutting and pasting it is important to use the tool bars we’ve provided for formatting.
    • Highlight and cut or copy your resume document.
    • Click inside the resume box (In the Background step).
    • Click the 5th button from the left called "Paste". A drop-down menu will appear.
    • Select "Paste plain text". (Do not select any other option but this!)
    • Style your information by using the buttons provided, for example, bold, italics, numbered list, etc.
  5. Contact information should be accurate. If you would like to remain anonymous so that employers do not know your name put “Anonymous Candidate” in each required field.

If you have never created a resume you can find more information about resume writing by using the Career Tools link from the My PPS page.
