DIRECTOR OF PHARMCY
Mt. San Rafael Hospital
Trinidad, CO

Located in the Purgatoire River Valley between the Colorado Rockies and the Great Plains, Trinidad offers blue skies, clean water, a mild climate and breathtaking vistas of mountains and plains. The town is a regional center for arts, culture, and tourism, as well as education. Trinidad State Junior College offers a broad array of programs and opportunities for continuing education. Trinidad is approximately 11-15 miles north of the New Mexico border and about 80 miles south of Pueblo on Interstate 25. Santa Fe and Denver are less than a three hour drive.

Mt. San Rafael Hospital is a 25 bed critical access facility serving the medical and surgical needs of Trinidad residents and the surrounding areas. The Pharmacy is open 5 days per week, 8am-4:30 pm and is managed by Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS). The Director is employed by CPS. All other Pharmacy staff are employed by the hospital.

CPS provides the support you need to excel in the job. As Director of Pharmacy with CPS you will have a full support team available to you. From a Regional VP, Regional Clinical Director, 340B Specialist, Regulatory Specialist, Drug Information Specialist, other Directors and more. At Trinidad you will be staffing as well as oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling and supervising activities in the hospital pharmacy according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and State and Federal laws. The Director reports to a CPS Regional Manager and indirectly to the hospital CEO. .

Required Qualifications
- BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Colorado Pharmacist licensure in good standing.
- One year of experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital pharmacy
Experience with Joint Commission, Clinical, Purchasing is a plus.

You’ll also need the ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, respond to client concerns, and work cooperatively with other members of Comprehensive Pharmacy Services and hospital and pharmacy staff.
