Per Diem Clinical Staff Pharmacist

Texas Regional Medical Center, Sunnyvale, TX

Description: You’ll evaluate and interpret orders, compound, and dispense medications according to written orders/prescriptions issued by an authorized prescriber. You will also identify, prevent, asses and resolve medication-related problems to ensure a safe and optimal patient outcome and promote, through criteria based protocols, clinically rational drug therapy and sound pharmaceutical care. This position is scheduled to work every fourth weekend (Saturday and Sunday) from 8a-4:30pm and other shifts during the week if you are available and the business need arises.

Qualifications:

· Pharmacy Degree (BS or PharmD)

· TX licensure in good standing

· Experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital setting or residency preferred

Facility: Texas Regional Medical Center is a brand-new, all-digital facility licensed for 70 general acute-care beds (including 8 ICU beds), with an active Emergency department and potential to expand to 200 beds in the future. It is physician owned and provides primary care as well as a full range of specialties, including a women’s center. The pharmacy is centralized with extensive automation and clinical programs in development. It is open Monday through Friday, 7 am to 9 pm; Saturdays and Sundays, 8 am to 4 pm. Management of the pharmacy and its staffing are outsourced to Comprehensive Pharmacy Services. .
