Job Description
Per Diem Pharmacy Technician
St. Luke’s Sugar Land Hospital / Sugar Land, TX
Description: As a pharmacy technician at St. Luke’s Sugar Land, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing; and auditing patient records. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Pharmacy technician certification and TX registration
- Previous pharmacy technician experience in a hospital
- IV experience preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Facility: A subsidiary of St. Luke's Episcopal Health System, St. Luke’s Sugar Land Hospital opened in October 2008 with a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient services. The 100-bed, acute care hospital in Sugar Land’s Lake Pointe Town Center is located at U.S. Highway 59 and Highway 6. Management of the 24/7 pharmacy is outsourced to CPS.
